The Video Project (Sacrifices and Pointe Shoes):
The video project was the last Digital Arts project of my Freshman year. We were asked to make a documentary on anything we were passionate about. Naturally I gravitated towards ballet. I decided to focus on sacrifices that dancers make for dance. I originally had a lot more footage and could make a much longer more in depth documentary, but I lost my footage to a glitchy computer system. I wish I could spend more time in the actual editing process. Next time I would also like to use a higher quality editing program that gives me more freedom. In the project we began watching documentaries so we could get a solid understanding of how a they work. We watched "Blackfish" and "Exit Through the Gift Shop" for four days. I learned that I need to make myself think more about the actual project. I loved working with people to record.
Design Your Own Art Project:
Teacher Creature:
The Teacher Creature project was based on our Photoshop skills that we have gained. We began by choosing a teacher to make into a creature. I choose my math teacher Lauren Lucky. We had to interview them so we had idea what they liked and how we could personalize it for them. The hardest part of this project was finding ideas to add and make it interesting. I tend to be a minimalist so I had to fight myself to add more. The easiest part of this project was working on refining the project and making it my best work. I have learned that I work quickly and need to spend more time slowly working.

Landscape Project
The landscape project was built for us so we could learn two major skills. Photoshop and proportion and scale. We were asked to cut out elements of another photo and paste them to a larger photo. We had to have correct proportion and scale. I felt that I did well in pasting and scaling the elements nicely. We also had to learn about background, foreground and middleground because it is a major part of making your art realistic. I wish I had done more with the text because it seems a little plain. I could of put banners to make the text pop a little more. I do like that I used a nice text to make it more interesting. Next time I will ask my teacher Roxy how to make a banner and ask her about questions about the right tool to cut thing out. I did learn a lot of very important tools that will carry me fair in the world of Photoshop.

In this photo I made her eye change from a icy blue to a vibrant green. I am really proud of this!
